Hi everyone, I have a 1.9 year old lab who is perfect in my eyes. He has hip dysplasia and was recommended from my vet that neutering him is not suitable because he might gain weight which is not ideal for dog’s with hip dysplasia. So i need a second opinion, any help is appreciated. Thanks

Yes donot get him neutered after the surgery he may gain weight and that worsens the hip dysplasia condition Get a x ray done to know the level of hip dysplasia and get him treated for the same

He is on joint supplements as of now.. should he get any other type of treatment?

The joint supplement or does he need physiotherapy or surgery all depends on the level of hip dysplasia If it's in the initial stages the joint supplement and physiotherapy will help If it's the last stage surgery is preferred
