It depends on whether they are gaint built , medium or small built , depending on their genetic potential and nutrition etc , It's better to consider body condition score (like body mass idex we human have ) rather than just body weight. Generally should be 25-35 or 40 also depending on their their gaintness.

I know that golden retrievers are bred in India with a tolerance for heat, unlike the original which stays only in cold climates. However, can I assume that my golden retriever puppy has a higher cold tolerance? I see that he loves to sleep in the floor but sometimes I also see him sleeping like this, trying to be all tucked in. Should I get him a bed? Could he be feeling cold? The reason I haven’t bought one for him is because he chews on everything, including metal. If I gave him something with a mattress, I’m positive he might end up pulling out the cotton etc in a couple of days. I know there are some anti-chew beds on the market, but my question here is that whether I should look for something that keeps him warm or cool…
