Hi! Maggie, 1 year old has been recently shifted to a protein rich diet from urinary S/o diet. She is active, having her meals properly as well but there is a chage in her poop colour. Some of it appears black. What could be the reason for the same?

Dark coloured stools can just be dry constipated stools, consistency looks normal. Keep an eye if it continues you can get her liver values rechecked. You can add some extra pumpkin paste to help her with her digestion if there is constipation.

Phoebe is 1yr old now. She weighs 28-29 kgs. And is very active. Two things that's bothering me - she doesn't look big, even though her weight falls well in the normal range. She's typically the most bullied in her dog friends in the neighbourhood! (huskies, retrievers) - she's a very fussy eater. We really have to persuade a lot. And she wastes half of the food. She does not eat dry dog food at all. We try rice with curd and chicken, veggies, lentils.. Sometimes dosa, chapathi. She'd not eat 5 out of 10 times. I tried the 10 min rule where I took off the bowl if she doesn't eat in that 10 mins. But doesn't seem to work. Any suggestions to address these concerns are much appreciated!
