Hi! Maggie has been shedding a lot lately and scratching herself more than usual. This morning I could see two small bald patches. One on her hindlimb which has slight redness to it and another on her neck. She has a history of demodicosis. What could be the reason for this? Pic 1&2: Hindlimb. Pic 3: Front of the neck.

Hi Swathi. I would suggest you to comb her regularly and include Omega fatty acids in the form of supplements to control shedding. Itching with bald patches isn't normal. Such patches could also be due to dandruff or scales. Even though it doesn't look like demodicosis, it's required to rule it from fungal infection/ other causes, with the help of cytology or skin scraping.

Hi! I just saw this white spot on Maggie's one lower eyelid. What could it be? Appears like discoloration but can't say.

I have a lab named Google. All photos of him are my fav, but this one touched my heart, so inked on my heart. My fav memory wid him is an incident during my pregnancy when I slipped and fell. Nobody from my family was there. He waited for sometime for me to getup and being restless trying to help me but when he realised it didn't work out, he went and called my husband for help. If he wasn't there, nobody would know for long time & dat time he was only 4months old. so dogs r always there for hoomans, whether Hooman's are there or not for them
