How does your puppy react/behave if you leave them at home for longer duration? My WFH is ending this month and then Murphy will have to be at home alone for at least 7-8 hrs. How do i handle this situation. Need advice

All dogs react differently to separation from their guardian. Some turn unusually quiet, while some show destructive behaviours like urinating, excessive barking, howling, chewing on furniture, etc. Some dogs remain unaffected by the separation, however it's recommended to train your doggo for separation in advance so they feel comfortable staying alone.

Mine usually howls for a while and then gets calm. We keep the tv on for him, so either he looks at the TV or very rarely plays with his toys. Mostly his sight will be towards the main door. But as such he says fine. Just to add to my answer, max we've kept him alone is 5hs. But on average its around 3hrs - once or twice a week. not too sure how he'll react to longer wait period and multiple times a week. but yes, please start training your pet at the earliest starting with lower intervals.

My dog( 1year old shihtzu ) is a very picky eater, i have tried everything that a dog might like for example rice, curd, vegetables, sweet potatoes. He starves himself until he gets chicken and for obvious reasons i cannot feed him chicken all day, what to do And some other dog parent suggested me to stop feeding him kibbles because it is packed food and home made food is healthier for dogs, is that true?
