I have 2 goldens, max and Lexi both 1.8yrs old. 2 months ago Max passed away due to babesios despite aggressive treatment. I got the female PCR tested and she tested +ve for Babesia Vogeli on 7/11. She was clinically stable with normal blood results. Treatment started with 10 days of Rajadox, Clindohat, Glocin, Flagyl, Azithrohat & Atovaquin. CBC was done every 4 days, with normal results. Rajadox continued for 18days. 2nd PCR done on 6/12. Now she is negative for Vogeli but positive for Gibsoni. Doc says she may have had both but dominant one showed up in test. He says just monitor her for symptoms now, no more treatment. Her CBC is normal, appetite normal, activity normal, weight 32kg. Please advise if anything more to be done. Thanks
