My GS puppy is 70 days old and spends almost 20 hours sleeping from past 1 week and her eyes look lik it's kinda red. Is this normal or should I be taking any precautions?

Hi Prarthana. Puppies usually sleep a lot when compared to adults. But eyes being red isn’t normal. It could be due to worms/fever/any infection. If his activity levels are decreased along with anorexia, I would suggest you consult a veterinarian to discuss in detail about it. You can book either an online or home consultation for the same.

Dear Dog-lovers, Is it advisable to raise a male and female puppy (Shih Tzu) together? We are OK for the female to have puppies 1 -2 times in its life as it will be healthy for it. But for the rest of the periods in heat, how can we make both puppies comfortable? We are not sure if we want to neuter the puppies as we've had conflicting views on health issues that comes after neutering/ spaying. From google: "Spayed female dogs may have an increased risk of developing urinary tract infections and juvenile or recessed vulvas when spayed before puberty. Urinary mechanism sphincter incompetence, also known as estrogen responsive urinary incontinence, is a common problem in female dogs spayed." We'd be grateful for your guidance here before we adopt the female puppy. Thanks a ton!
