Our Pomeranian 1.7 years pet is facing some issues with acidity ( vomits toxic) and currently a little bit reddish stools... (Couple of days back the stools were black in colour ) We stay in a small city, there are no much vets...visited one vet he said there is no problem. Dear doctors, please advice what steps needs to be taken.

Thank you doctor for your response. There is no change in the food diet ( only rice + curd + milk or chapati ) It's close to 1.7 years now, atleast once a month ll have problem of acidity and it ll puke toxic water. Till dec 2022 his acidity was severe, it used to stand for A longer time but those days we were feeding egg.From dec 2022 we stopped feeding him egg and cakes, from then we are not noticing him standing with pain, now from last 3 days there is color change in stools and today it puked toxic.

If the problem of puking is reoccurring then it can be because he may be allergic to some of the food which u are giving Try to cut down the chapathi and milk from his diet then see Now to reduce vomit u can give sucralfate syrup 3 ml before food twice daily

Canines do vomit once in a while, if it's happening once in 2-3 weeks a single episode of vomiting can be ignored. Make sure you feed him 2 meals and a snack once in 8 hours. Please add some protein source in his diet, the ingredients that you are using for now are not sufficient to keep him healthy. Water that you serve should be filtered appropriately. Deworm if he is due. If the black/ reddish stools continue please get a blood test done. You can start him on a probiotic cap synFosium 1 a day for 1 week

Doctors , I just returned home from work and my pet is facing the same problem again.... Though he is in sleepy mode, he is standing from long time..and i could see he is in pain with something upset with his digestive system. Please guide me what immediate action needs to be taken.... hi doctor, why my dog is always hungry? he's a 2.6 years shihtzu male.. whenever I get out of my kitchen he would check my hands if I'm carrying any food, whenever I have any fruit or snack, he would bark continously at me.. I usually feed him an egg with veggies in morning, a snack usually a sweet potato or a carrot around 3pm.. and for dinner I serve him 4 tablespoon kibble.. am I feeding him less ? his current weight is 8.5 kgs and tends to gain weight..
