My 3 month puppy keeps chewing on his metal crate. I'm worried he may ingest the paint from the crate's metal grid. What can I do?

Try to train him to not to do that and give some toys to play

We do this but during night time we find that he’s chewed a lot more of wood/metal coating. Would you suggest placing a lick mat near him in the night? But what if he spends all night trying to lick it instead of sleeping…
