What should I give my 3months old Shihtzu to eat? He no longer shows interest towards eating. I have been giving him cerelac when he was baby and now after 3 months started giving him dog food, rice and egg. Sometimes I feel lil fruits too. Please help me on this.

Hey Pritika, Cerelac contains sugar and is not recommended for dogs. To get a personalized diet plan for Star, based on his age, weight and breed, you can check out our "Food" feature. You can also schedule an Online Nutrition Consultation with a Pet Nutrition Expert on our services page. It will help you understand the root cause behind Star's fussy eating habits and will help you create a diet plan based on his unique dietary needs.

Hi, if you want to continue with fresh food you can give chicken/ egg/ paneer with rice. Please rotate between these to make sure the diet is well balanced. It is also important for you to fortify this type to diet with some calcium supplement. The pup should receive 4 meals a day at this point, distributed equally thought the day. However if the pup is not eating even 70% of his dietary requirements in a day please get him examined to make sure there is no underlying cause.

Royal canine pup starter pack - I usually grind the kibbles, make it into powder and mix it with a spoon of rice and water or yogurt. My pup loves it! Egg takes longer for these tiny babies to digest. Atleast, my dog isn’t able to chew it properly. I also give mine steamed vegetables - carrots, cucumber.
