My 11 months old shitzu keep licking and biting his private area and it has become red over there is it a sign of worry and the paws as well

Hi Amrutha. A frequent licking is definitely an abnormal behaviour which is suggestive of an infection. It’s advisable to speak to a vet in detail for the treatment.

Today suddenly my 4 months old Shihtzu started limping and kind of trembling on his front right leg. When I took him to vet he said there is no fracture or any kind of injury but may be a paw infection. He was continuously licking his paw, hence I made him wear a sock to avoid the same. I just want a second opinion. This happened during the noon,he was normal till evening and then again he was limping little in the night and was restless while sleeping.
