Got a 50 day old toy poodle last evening. We are first time pet parents. He was the last of his litter. While Viggo has been playing and teething, and also sleeping, he isn’t really eating the cerelac. Nor is he actively drinking water. We were told this is separation anxiety and settling into new surroundings. Am I overly worried or is this normal for a pup?

It’s normal but if he continues to do the same for more than a day take him to the vet

Hi Jaishankar. It’s normal for a pup to go into separation anxiety once separated from mother and litter. To overcome this, please provide engaging toys to keep him occupied especially puzzle toys containing treats. See that adequate exercise is provided to make him tired before left alone. If you are using human cerelac, stop it but gradually introduce puppy cerelac or dry kibbles(soaked in warm water).

Am happy to say that Viggo is eating better and drinking water also. He is quite active post food and playing with a couple of toys. Thank you community for the support (and to Dr. Tajunnisa).

Hello, I recently changed my dog's food from Royal Canine to Pedigree. He seems to not like it at all. He eats anything but pedigree. He has never been a fussy eater. He loves all kind of foods from veg to chicken. But he hates pedigree it seems. We thought may be his appetite has dropped but he eats anything else when served quickly. He does eat pedigree but only after he is way too hungry, not immediately when served. Please let me know what should I do. Is he suffering from gastric issues due to pedigree.

Coco has some wound near his knee. I gave one s spoonful of virgin coconut oil in his food. He doesn't lick anymore and looks like healing. But there is another one I see near his paws. He doesn't allow anything to be applied. He limps also. It means it has a pain.
