hello doc, what causes bile build-up in dogs, resulting in bile vomit and grey coated faeces? how can I treat and what precautions should I follow to improve it. please let me know,, thank you

Hi Kriss. Bile vomit plus grey stool are indications of either biliary or pancreatic issues. But a confirmation is required by getting blood tests (CBC, Bile acids, LFT and pancreatic enzymes) done. A treatment would be decided based on the results.

For now avoid fatty diet. Give a bland diet having rice and chicken. You can also go for commercial foods curated for pancreatic or biliary issues once confirmed by tests.

ok ma'am, what food comes under the fatty diet? i feed him rice chicken and veggies, nothing else sometimes fish

This if fine. Don’t add any kind of oil or butter/chicken skin/meat fat but increase the fibre content in Joj’s diet. Get the blood tests done soon.
