Few days ago, I posted a question about a 6 month old Persian kitten named Bagheera. I mentioned that he was spinning at one place and loosing balance. He was completely bed ridden from past 3 days but from yesterday, thankfully, he has the energy of standing up and licking himself. He is not roaming around the house but it’s still improvement as he was peeing and pooping at the same place while laying on his bed. Now the big question is- why is his head still tilted in one direction? Will it get better with time. He is diagnosed with Mycoplasma. 2 days ago, his head was almost half tilted but it is not so anymore but still slanted. We are taking him to vet and they are saying he should recover fully after some time. Just wanted a second opinion here as mycoplasma is nothing but a bacterial infection, we don’t understand why he is losing balance and have a slanting head. Please assist. Have attached prescription and a video.

Hi Sana. Mycoplasma haemofelis in cats causes potentially severe condition. In very rare cases, the brain is affected leading to meningoencephalitis. Or as mentioned in the previous post, it can be some other condition along with mycoplasmosis.
