Hi! We've noticed that Maggie has started putting on weight despite the usual two meals she is being given. She weighs 31.5 kg after having food and roughly 29.5 kg before having first meal. Is it advisable to decrease her weight? If yes, how can we help her reduce her weight?

Hi, to understand better you need to check your pet's body condition score or get it checked by your vet. Mild variation before and after eating meals, or after the pet has passed stools can be ignored. But if there is a constant increase and if the bodyweight is more than what it should be based on your pet's height a weight management diet can be started. Reduce carbs to cut down on the calorie intake, reduce treats and give enough exercise. If you need more details you can take a nutrition consultation.
