I have received mixed opinions about neutering my female shih tzu puppy, people either say to neuter her after she gives birth and some say to avoid breeding. what are the advantages of her giving birth and then getting her neutered?

Hej Aditi - I have the same issue but the doctor mentioned that after neutering dogs tend to get lazy and put on a lot of weight. It is healthy for the dogs to be crossed once before neutering but I am very confused too as I have a 2 year old shih-apso male and I would like to consider the doctors opinion…

It's better to get the neutering before giving birth because after mating there are chances of pyometra
