Hi My dog is having this wound from past few months . Consulted many drs it’s not healing ! He is licking it a lot . Earlier it was red but now it’s turned black . Can anyone tell me what is this nd why is not healing properly !!

Hi, this is called a lick granuloma. The reason why it's not healing is probably because your pet has been licking the area constantly and not letting it heal. The most important step would be to create a physical barrier eg a sock around his paw/ e collar to stop him from licking the affected area. Washing regularly with a medicated shampoo eg conaseb. If it doesn't heal within 2 weeks with this please get it checked to see if a histopathological/ cytology exam is necessary.

Coco was groomed by Ranjitha today from Kuddle. This is the 2nd time we booked her for Coco’s grooming and she and her team were extremely patient with him since Coco absolutely hates getting his hair and nails trimmed. But surprisingly we couldn’t hear his anxious whines during the grooming session. After the session, he was running around the house super happy. Thanks to Ranjitha, her team and Kuddle for making our lives easier 💕
