Hi, Can somebody help me diagnose this? This lump suddenly appeared on my dog's tummy. Looks like an umbellical hernia. Not to forget he has tick fever and he's on triple Antibiotics and imidocarb along with liver/platelet syrups and prednisolone. Thanks.

Hello. Yes it does look like an umbilical hernia but get it confirmed from a vet through clinical evaluation.

Sure I'll get it confirmed. But is it serious? Should I stop playing with my dog and take him to surgery? Is there any chance it would get fixed on it's own?

My Shihtzu is 5.5 months old, apparently he has little bit of itching due to ticks or skin infection. Is it recommended if we can get him 2MM trim. As his hair is too much, we are unable to search ticks properly. Also doctor recommended for the trimming yet I wanted to have a second opinion on the same, as I have heard you shouldn’t trim untill 8 months.
