Beagle shedding

Shedding can happen due to infection, which generally shows with some changes/ lesions on skin, this has to be understood with a physical check. It can also happen due to deficiencies which shows up with dryness, for which you can use some omega fa supplements. It can sometimes also be just a seasonal shed, this can be tackled with grooming.
