Hi Vathsala. See if there is any redness. Licking is a way to clean themselves, but if it's more definitely there's an issue. I would suggest you to get him checked clinically to rule out infection/inflammation.

Licking urine is a bad habit and should be discouraged. Training would definitely help solving this problem. Use commands like 'no' 'leave it' along with giving treats to interrupt and divert his mind. Use positive reinforcement but don't punish.

Need help!!! My 2.5 month old puppy was eating something which he shouldn’t have, so I was trying to take that out from his mouth but while doing this his tooth got inside my finger and it started bleeding.
