Hi Deepika. FCoV is a relatively fragile virus but can be destroyed easily by most household disinfectants and detergents. However in cold and dry conditions like the present weather, it can survive up to 1 month or more on materials like carpet, litter box etc. itβs best to discard the whole litter box. Indirect transmission also happens from clothes, toys or grooming materials. But this is for a short time of 7 days. I would suggest you to wait for at least one month to get a new one.
