I have a female golden, she is 2.8 yrs old, did a lot of research, it appears it is better to spay them due to risk of a uterine infection (pyometra?)which can be deadly. However there are research papers that show intact bitches have lower incidence of certain cancers than the spayed ones.

My female cat got scared of something and was hiding for a few days. During that time she also acted scared of my male cat. Now she’s not hiding as much but she’s still acting scared of him. They used to be friends. Both are 1 year old. What should I do?
