Hey Doctors! I was wondering if it's okay to give WHISKEY (2-month-old poodle) some boiled chicken liver and chicken heart as part of his meal? Also, Whiskey seems bored of Orijen, can you recommend any good alternatives to replace one of his daily meals with Orijen? PS: Sleeping on his best posture right now πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Hi Dinesh! Chicken liver and heart might be too much for whiskey as part of his meal to digest at this age. You can try after few months. You can try Grain zero or farmina puppy food also. But do change the food gradually as sudden change in food might upset his stomach. You can give bone broth in small amount, start with 2- 3 teaspoon a day and after 1-2 months you can gradually increase.

Chicken liver and heart you can try giving as treat but very small amount for now.

You can wait for few months when you start giving chicken liver and heart. He will be better adjusted to digest these type of food and there won’t be any risk of stomach related issues then.

What about Curd? Is it good to start giving in small amounts now? Or should I wait for 3month?

I would like to share the tiny journey of our 10 week puppy. The Beagle puppy came home to us when it was 5 weeks old.No doubt with a very chic look--black,ebony ,white shoes, socks and tail. A small, yet muscular body, drooping ears and eyes so wise, sometimes look worried about some problem it has on its mind. We have not finalised it's name, the running name being Theo(God or divine). Sometimes it just feels that this is a little devil--very sharp teeth,a high pitched, yet flat yelp and a lunge that goes straight to my slippers, socks and our elder dog's Skippy's nose.It has been yelled at for chewing his tail, his long cocker spaniel hair and ear. But when Theo cuddles up and sleeps for an hour in the afternoon it sure feels like heaven. His appetite has been remarkable--from day one,I have been giving him--Boiled egg, both yellow and white, Cerelac Baby food( as Sudheendra pets was feeding him and his sisters cerelac) I started giving him minced chicken with rice twice. His weight increased to 4kg from 2kgs

My 10 month old Maltese pup keeps having recurrent stomach upsets and is a very picky eater...i tried to identify what would cause these upsets and was wondering,do doggie treats like pedigree jerkys sometimes cause these upsets? What can I give him to make his stomach have better flora and health?
