This is called pigmentary keratitis, it's fairly common in pugs. This happens due to chronic dryness and irrigation caused by the skin fold around their face. You can use tacrolimus ointment to prevent this from progressing further along with artificial tears to reduce dryness. My 1.5 years old golden retriever hates eating his meals. He used to eat well before but recently he walks away from his food and we have hand feed him.
