Hi Thanushree. An occasional lick is fine but it’s always better to avoid ice creams as it contains lot of sugar which isn’t good for dogs plus if the pets are lactose intolerant, it disturbs the gastrointestinal tract leading to indigestion, diarrhoea and vomiting.

👉 Contrary to common misconception, not all female dogs get cuddly during their heat. It’s important to understand what your doggo really wants from you and give them whatever they need whether it’s space or extra kuddles!
👉 Investing in good quality doggy diapers is very important. Vulvas swell up before/during heat, and Dogs clean up after themselves, excessive licking of the vulva can cause irritation and infections and hence, diapers are preferred. Cheap quality diapers can also cause discomfort and infections, so pick your doggy diaper brand wisely!
👉 Keep the environment calm. Provide her with her favourite food, treats, favourite toys, everything she loves. It’s time for some pampering!
👉 To avoid pregnancies, make sure your female dogs are in safe enclosed area away from any other dogs.
