Hi Sridhar. Yes. Even if the risk of unwanted pregnancy is avoided, pet will be highly proned to other problems like pyometra( pus filled uterus), tumours and infections of mammary gland and uterus. Apart from this, a dog in heat goes through stress each time with agitated behaviour. So, it’s better to get her spayed than opting to leave her intact.
