This happened to my pet as well but not this much it was very less, as they keep scratching there it makes it worse, would suggest you to keep an eye that your pet is not scratching that area alot. And my vet recommended DERMICHLOR SPRAY it is for antifungal and antibacterial. This spray worked for him.

Hello. If it's recurrent and subsides on its own, it could an Allergic Dermatitis but definitely needs to be differentiated from bacterial/fungal/atopic dermatitis. Get his blood work done to rule out above said conditions. If he isn't active like before and has a tick infestation history, getting CBC done is highly recommended.
