Hi my golden retriever is having like this on his skin and the area is at the hip can you explain what is this some kind of infection . I ve check everywhere but I could only find it in one spot . He keeps on biting it ..

Hi Nikhitha. It can be a bacterial infection which has led to scab formation. It might worsen if he frequently scratches or bites.

I do have a skin lotion that was given for skin allergy it is okay if I apply or it should be treated medically?

Vetoquinol Wokazole Plus Lotion … this was prescribed by vet and I’ve applied because his skin became flaky and he has dandruff

Yes, you can use it. If it doesn’t decrease, seeing a vet is recommended.

Hey, I have already visited the vet, and he said it’s due to grooming, or some other dogs allergy must have got transmitted through the tools used while grooming. And I have been given few creams to resolve the issue. But I wanted to have second opinion. Does this issue get worst? Or will it reside by the creams given.
