Hi Anuja. Itβs called as resource guarding, wherein a pet feels protective for the things the he/she likes. This can be corrected through a proper training. Use commands and treats when your pet does that. I also suggest you to take a training from kuddle professionals.

@anuja, what you can probably do is trade the slipper for something better and teach him drop command. If you forcefully pick something from his mouth regularly, it could lead to resource guarding. Give him another toy or a natural bone when he picks up the slippers. He will naturally drop the slipper for the higher rewarding toy. Sharing from my personal experience.
