Hi pooja, recovery depends on the severity of the disease. In case Babesia gibsoni chances of relapse is also high. Hence it is important to get a repeated blood test every 10-15days once at beginning

Hello Pooja, my approx 2 yr old golden was diagnosed with Babesios, 3 mos ago. We went through an antibiotic and anti protozoal regime for 21 days. She never exhibited any symptoms. However 3 PCR tests 1 month apart show she's still positive for Gibsoni. Right now we are just observing her, she's doing well for now. Her companion, a male golden, passed away of the same 3 mos ago - devastating our whole family. So we are just hoping she's going to be fine.
