Hi! Maggie's left ear has slimy wax and a little swelling can be seen inside as well. What could be the underlying reason for the same? Her right ear seems to be usual.

Hi Swati. The change in color,smell and consistency of earwax could be due to bacterial or yeast infection or it could also be due to mite infestation. It's best advised to get her ears checked along with earwax examination to rule out the above said causes.

But anyhow, you can regularly clean your pets ears using ear cleansers once in a week.
