Hi Mam.. some measures could be taken if polyphagia is behavioural in nature. You could provide high fibre diet, you could divide daily food allotment into several small feedings per day. You can include some vegetables (cucumbers, carrots, broccoli, green beans etc).. Foods with high water content are more satisfying..you could offer vegetable or chicken soup..

You could try to divert your pets attention from food to something more exciting. Take them for regular walks, play with them, spend some time brushing their fur out. Spending some quality time with your pet could divert your pets mind off of food.

Some of the medical causes of polyphagia in dogs could be due to parasites in the intestines, Cushing's syndrome, Diabetes mellitus, Inflammatory bowel disease etc..

Kindly schedule an appointment with vet for home visit to rule out medical conditions resulting in polyphagia.

Coco was groomed by Ranjitha today from Kuddle. This is the 2nd time we booked her for Coco’s grooming and she and her team were extremely patient with him since Coco absolutely hates getting his hair and nails trimmed. But surprisingly we couldn’t hear his anxious whines during the grooming session. After the session, he was running around the house super happy. Thanks to Ranjitha, her team and Kuddle for making our lives easier 💕5 likes•1 comments•82 views

I know that golden retrievers are bred in India with a tolerance for heat, unlike the original which stays only in cold climates. However, can I assume that my golden retriever puppy has a higher cold tolerance? I see that he loves to sleep in the floor but sometimes I also see him sleeping like this, trying to be all tucked in. Should I get him a bed? Could he be feeling cold? The reason I haven’t bought one for him is because he chews on everything, including metal. If I gave him something with a mattress, I’m positive he might end up pulling out the cotton etc in a couple of days. I know there are some anti-chew beds on the market, but my question here is that whether I should look for something that keeps him warm or cool…3 comments•148 views
