My puppy walks very close to my legs and he gets hits when he follows me. Sometimes I fear it might hurt him. What can I do in this scenario?

Doctor, My golden retriever dog which is 1 year and 5 months and weighs around 32kgs has very bad ear infection, slightly bad smell and while cleaning with wet wipes noticed good amount of dark color wax . Indie, Male, 16 months I feed him twice a day, morning and night. He's hardly eating food since yesterday night. He seems to be active, drinking water also normally and had his usual walk. Pooped normally also. Food is the normal food which he regularly eats, no changes. Pls advice
