Rio, our 79 day old toy poodle, isn’t drinking water freely. I have to add some curd or curd whey (or soaked kibble at meal time) for him to have water. I got a water fountain and he didn’t take to it. Are there alternate liquids I can try or some other mixer into water?

Hi Jaishankar. Pets below 3-4 months of age don’t really like water but you can try flavouring his water by adding little amount of chicken or mutton broth/ice cubes. Soak dry kibbles in water well in advance or add wet gravy to it. Include high moiusture content foods.

You can also give butter milk/curd/tender coconut.

My dog is around 4+ years old now. I feed him twice a day, his everyday food includes - Rice, Milk, Eggs, Salmon Oil and a small portion of pedigree. Occasionally once or twice a week I feed him chicken with the meal, and try to force some veggies as well. Apparently these days he’s been puking something like yellowish every now and then, also sometimes his entire food previously what he would have eaten. I thought this would happen coz he is a fast eater, but I’m not able to understand why this is happening more times recently than before. He’s joyful and playful and quite active in nature. Just concerned about this unusual thing that’s happening lately. Someone advised me to give him Digyton + syrup for his good digestion. Just here asking for further more clarity.2 comments•163 views
