Simba has consumed some parts of this flower, probable 1 bud or similar amount. We literally caught him chewing on it and as soon as we found him we found some lather coming of his mouth, although we rinsed his moth and he had food , water thereafter and showing notmal behaviour as of now.
It has been 2 hrs since that incident, pls tell me if I should really worry about or if it is any life threatening situation?
Hi Maity. All parts of Calotropis gigantea is considered to be toxic to dogs. If he has ingested a very small portion of a flower, he shouldn’t end up having any symptoms of toxicity. As it’s been more than 2 hours, is difficult to induce vomiting. If in case he shows vomiting, diarrhoea or lethargy or any other symptoms, please rush to a vet for further treatment.
