Urgent assistance needed: My 4 YO Rottweiler dog has not been eating well from past 3-4 days and continuously vomits whatever little we force feed. Attaching latest Blood test reports. Presence of two bladder stones and ascites liquid was detected in Sonography yesterday. Doctor is giving him IV RL and D5 from past 4 days with some additional medicines like Cardilac, Reniods and CK Reno. Also, Injection ondem panto cefotaxime. The vet says it’s severe but curable in 1-2 months but Genie has been very weak from yesterday, unable to sleep or even walk. Vet asked to strictly not take him for walk and for saline to continue for 3-4 more days and to give him complete bed rest. Can anyone please help as to how long will it take, what food to give and what more can we do to help genie get better?
Hi Sana. The blood reports are suggestive of ascitis, acute kidney disease and an infection, may be leptospirosis? He definitely needs time to heal. You can feed him whatever he has been taking so far but in case of vomiting better to stick on to IV fluids.
