Hello so we bought a lab puppy companion for my 9 month old golden retriever… unfortunately lab puppy is having excessive loose stools and started vomiting… so we took him to vet and they did a rapid test of parvo virus kit and it’s negative but later they gave drips to him … sadly my lab puppy passed away yesterday which we couldn’t take it . And my golden retriever used to sleep, play together. I took him to vet today my golden is completed fine and blood test reports are also okay safe side they gave parvocare tablets and did an injection. He seems very dull not responding while we call him and staring at the door so that he wanted to play with lab pup we tried everything to make him happy we bought him toys new treats and seems not interested to play with … can you please explain me how to make my golden come out from this we cannot see him like this..

Hi Nikhitha. That’s really sad to hear about it. In such cases pets do need some time to come out of it but I suggest you and the other family members who bond very well with max to spend more quality time. You can take him on walks and allow him to socialise with known healthy dogs.

He might feel better if you are planning to get another pup to him.

right know I am scared to take him out because of the bad weather and mostly raining the vet suggested not to talk out for walks so we tried to play with him he seems sleeping all the time very depressing ….

Okay. In that case you can allow him to play under your supervision, with your own society dogs. This helps him to recovery early than by any other means.
