Hi Valli. Licking paws could be due to an irritation/boredom/stress. Continues licking leads to secondary bacterial infection. Hence, it’s requires a proper treatment. I would suggest you to get your pet examined from a vet by booking a home consultation or by speaking to a vet online on kuddle.

My cat's hind legs got burnt 2-2.5 months ago and it recovered well, the hair on the burnt part also recovered but it looked different from the other areas which I considered to be normal given how severely she was injured. The whole of the burnt area got covered with comparatively short and rough textured hair. But since 2-3 days I'm observing that the hair on the burnt part is reducing.
