We have recently got shoes for our dog nawab! He is comfortable and walks normally in it. But m just curious to ask the experts if there are any ill effects of shoes or anyone who has faced any bad experience with it.

Hi Aakriti. There are no such potential side effects from shoes, it's just that it should be used only for walking. Shoes shouldn't be used for long time as pets use their paws to clean themselves along with scratching which is an obvious natural defensive behaviour. Secondly, with an excessive use along with moisture, blisters (what we call as shoe bite) can be seen in rare conditions.

My golden retriever dog which is 1 year and 5 months and weighs around 32kgs has very bad ear infection, slightly bad smell and while cleaning with wet wipes noticed good amount of dark color wax .
