Hi Shruti. It can be an abscess or a cyst. Getting FNAC done would be preferable for the proper treatment. Yes, most of the pets are showing such symptoms in summer. Make sure you are keeping him out of direct sunlight. Provide cooler places to stay ( or air conditioned room). Place water bowls in the corners of house. An ice cube can also be added to the bowl.

Yes. If untreated. A course of antibiotics may be required.
