Hi doc, I recently saw a bump on my pet inner part of the thigh and it’s filled with pus. Any thing to concern with or it’s a heat boil due to summer? He is eating normally but activity level is reduced (could be also due to summer, not sure).

Hi Shruti. It can be an abscess or a cyst. Getting FNAC done would be preferable for the proper treatment. Yes, most of the pets are showing such symptoms in summer. Make sure you are keeping him out of direct sunlight. Provide cooler places to stay ( or air conditioned room). Place water bowls in the corners of house. An ice cube can also be added to the bowl.

Yes. If untreated. A course of antibiotics may be required.

They are Boujee’s friends indies We make sure to feed them “curd rice with chicken broth” everyday 2 times since the time we’ve known them. The behaviour change & bodily changes in these indies make me so happy, hey look healthier and happier now!
