Hello
Dr. Soundarya T C
There are some reasons why your dog might not be eating when food is placed in the bowl ( stress of being alone or seperation anxiety ). Change the location to a safe place away from loud noises or other big dog if you have many pets, this works for pets which are v. scared. Change the time if your dog does not eat if its d time you are leaving for work..By feeding them just an hour before their mealtime..they will know that when they eat food.., you will not leave the hoyse

Feed them with your hand over the bowl, gradually move closer to the bowl and then with your hand inside the bowl, then start to drop the food in their bowl with your hand still on top of it. Gradually start to move your hand away untill finally you need not stay in the room until your pet eats..

Other way to break an healthy dog of hand feeding habbit is to feed him once a day in a bowl placed in a safe, qiet place...after 15 minutes, remove the food and dont feed him again including the snacks until his nxt meal...

Also you can schedule an appointment with a vet to rule out any medical conditions like gingivitis or ulcers..

I have two furbabies. One Frenchie and the other beagle. My Frenchie is anorexic and doesn't eat. Even when I leave him for a day or two without a feed he just vomits saliva and bile. I started feeding him due to this. Shown to lots of vets, no one has been able to change this. Does anyone else face this issue with their dogs?

My female Persian kitten(50 days old) is shedding a lot of hair suddenly, after her first deworming, is it something to be concerned about?(not sure if this happened due to deworming) She is perfectly normal, she eats well, her digestion is good and she is very active
